The Week Ahead: Council Meetings, Butterfly Tent

Cedar Grove holding public hearing to discuss limiting parking time in the township.

Both the Cedar Grove and Verona township councils will be in session this week for regularly scheduled meetings.

In Cedar Grove, the council will hold a public hearing tonight discussing limiting parking time in the township in certain areas of the township. A full agenda is attached to this story as a pdf.

At the April 24 council meeting, the Cedar Grove council discussed limiting parking on Devonshire Road after residents complained about the lack of parking because commuters parked on the street.

At the time, the council sought additional time to discuss the matter with township Police Chief Richard Vanderstreet and among themselves.

The Cedar Grove council will meet at 7 p.m. in council chambers, 525 Pompton Ave..

Verona's council will also meet tonight at the Verona Civic Center, 600 Bloomfield Ave., Verona.

Agenda items in Verona include the awarding of a $248,582 contract for construction of Bloomfield Avenue Streetscape Phase VII and a $290,300 contract for reconstruction of Otsego Road, Highland Terrace and Sunset Avenue Sections III & IV.

A full agenda is attached to this story as a pdf.
