OLL Students Return For New Term

Verona school touts enrollment increases, new classes and equipment as school year begins.


Change was in the air last week when Our Lady of the Lake School students returned to start the new school year.

The school, which was honored as a 2011 National Blue Ribbon School, received re-accreditation from the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.

School officials are also proudly touting enrollment increases of almost 33 percent for the 2012-13 school year as well as the return of two kindergarten classes and two pre-K4 classes.

The school has said even with the new children, it continues to have class sizes smaller than those in neighboring schools.

The school has also made physical changes to the campus, installing a new awning over the school entrance, new directional signs and banner poles.

New equipment was also added, including a donation by New York University of binocular microscopes and other equipment.
