No Summer Slowdown at Temple Sholom

Programming, events planned for Cedar Grove synagogue.

The month of June means many things — warmer days, long nights spent outdoors and the end of the secular and religious school years.

On Friday, June 15, Temple Sholom of West Essex will honor graduating seniors with scholarship awards beginning at the 8 p.m. Shabbat services. Prior to the service, the installation of officers will take place at the synagogue at 7:30 p.m.

Beginning June 22, Friday night Shabbat services will start at 7:30 p.m.

Save the date: On Tuesday, June 12 from 1-3:30 p.m., Temple Sholom of West Essex will host “Drop In Tuesdays,” where members meet to play games, talk politics, solve the big questions of life, hear a few jokes and more, all while having a nosh with old friends and new ones. The program will meet monthly.

************

On Sunday, June 17, members of the Temple Sholom of West Essex’s Brotherhood will host the First Brotherhood Pack Walk at Verona Park beginning at 11 a.m. The Pack Walk is a group get-together involving friends, family and dogs. The group will meet at the Boathouse Bridge. It’s a great way to get exercise and socialize. For more information, please contact Andy Steinfeld at (973) 902-4144.
