Monte Carlo Night will come to Cedar Grove on Thursday, Nov. 15 in a benefit renamed for Hurricane Sandy relief for people with disabilities, officials announced Tuesday afternoon.

“Rebuilding Lives After Hurricane Sandy: A Benefit for People with Disabilities,” will help to raise money for people with disabilities affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The evening will feature comedian Jeff Norris, a New Jersey native, the premiere 80’s cover band — the Emulators — and The Platinum Band.

There will be raffles, boardwalk games, caricature artists and a classic Jersey Shore menu. Entertainer Ben Vereen will also attend and perform at the event.

Vereen, who has received care at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, looks forward to supporting this benefit to raise funds for people with disabilities who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy.

“The impact of this historic storm on people with disabilities must not be overlooked,” said Rodger DeRose, president and chief executive officer of Kessler Foundation. “Many lost wheelchairs, vehicles, and ramps and access to housing and independent living facilities. We ask everyone to share our invitation with their family, friends, community and colleagues. We look forward to having a full house and helping those most affected in the aftermath of this storm.”

Tickets are $50 in advance; $60 at the door. Anyone unable to attend may donate online. To purchase tickets or make a donation, click here.

All proceeds will be donated to help rebuild the lives of people with disabilities whose needs are even greater since Hurricane Sandy..
