Farm Stand Open Saturdays in Cedar Grove

Sales of produce from vegetable garden help support Morgan Museum.

The Cedar Grove Historical Society has put the "farm" back in Morgan Farm.

The town's last operating farm engaged in subsistence and cash crop farming from 1845 until 1985.

The 140-year-old tradition returns this summer with a farm stand selling vegetables grown right on the property at 903 Pompton Ave., in Cedar Grove.

The produce is grown without the use of pesticides or artificial fertilizers, according to the Cedar Grove Historical Society.

All proceeds from farm stand sales support the self-sustainment of the vegetable garden and The Morgan Museum.

The stand is open Saturdays through September, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
