Safe Trick-or-Treating, Free Ice Cream, Howl-o-Ween at Turtle Back, Job Seekers Support Group

What's happening in Verona and Cedar Grove on Thursday.

Patch has put together some things you need to know for Thursday.

Today is Halloween. The township of Cedar Grove provides safety tips for trick-or-treating.

Bella Gente in Verona will give away free ice cream to kids who stop in wearing their costumes.

Howl-O-Ween at Essex County’s Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange starts at 4 p.m. Children can wear their costumes and trick-or-treat at more than 30 stations around the grounds of the zoo.

Are you out of work and looking for a job? Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a local support group that assists people in the community who are actively looking for work. Stop by the Cedar Grove Public Library on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to get to know the group and hear about the fabulous success stories the Cedar Grove chapter has helped to realize.

Applications are now being accepted for the Junior Woman's Club of Verona's Success for Survivors Scholarship. This unique opportunity encourages intimate partner abuse survivors to reclaim and rebuild their lives by advancing their academic pursuits through a $2,500 scholarship.
