Are you out of work and looking for a job? Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a local support group that assists people in the community who are actively looking for work, will meet at the Cedar Grove Public Library on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Get tips on your resume, build a network of friends and colleagues, and network. The Cedar Grove Historical Society will continue its Annual Pumpkin/Apple Sale at the Morgan House. Stop by between 1 and 5 each day through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. 

Learn football fundamentals in time for the Super Bowl to come to the Meadowlands in January 2014. Join Montclair High School football coach John Fiore for "Football Widows," a fun-filled, lively discussion from the Adult School of Montclair. Tackling, throwing and catching the ball and agility training will be covered at the first meeting. At the second meeting, a referee teaches hand signals and participants get out on the field for some basic training! Dress appropriately. Meet on two Thursdays, Oct. 10 and 17, at the Fuzzy Furlong Fieldhouse, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuition: $29. Register in advance or call 973-746-6636
