Help beat cancer! The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk funds patient support services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and cancer research. Friends, families, and co-workers form fundraising teams who gather at this inspirational, memorable evening walk in Verona Park. Every walker who raises more than $100 or more will be a Champion For Cures and be recognized on the night of the Walk with: a Light the Night t-shirt, an illuminated Light the Night balloon, and a wristband which entitles the wearer to a variety of food and refreshments. All patients and survivors will receive these items regardless of their fundraising levels. Register at www.lightthenight.org/nj to help in the fight against blood cancers.

More About Verona Park
At nearly 55 acres, Verona Park is the fifth-largest park in the Essex County Park System. It features a 13-acre lake for boating and fishing, bocce courts, a 1.2-mile fitness trail, tennis courts, a children's garden and more. This sprawling park was designed by the Olmstead Brothers, and is a favorite of locals and out of town visitors alike. Check out the ornamental bridge over the lake, where newlyweds can frequently be seen posing for pictures.
