Cedar Grove Historical Society Meeting
Dining with History
The next meeting of the Cedar Grove Historical Society will be held on Wednesday, May 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cedar Grove Library. Phil and Jean Jaeger, members of the Society, will presenta slide program entitled "Dining with History." The program focuses on restaurants, mostly in New Jersey but several in neighboring states, that began life as long ago as the 1700s. In every case the building is an important part of New Jersey's heritage whether it originally was a stagecoach stop, railroad station, school, castle, private residence or other important structure. Both historic and contemporary views of these notable establishments are included in the program. The public is welcome.
More About Cedar Grove Public Library
Catherine Wolverton oversees the township's public library, located directly behind township hall and the police department headquarters. The library offers Wi-Fi access and is part of the PALS Plus intra-library lending consortium. The library boasts a circulation of more than 45,000 titles and holds numerous child-friendly events throughout the year, as well as a robust summer reading program.
