Celebrate Washington’s Birthday with the Cedar Grove Historical Society as Ray Williams, a former Cedar Grove resident, presents a program entitled Washington Commemorated on Coins and Medals. George Washington’s image appears on a variety of coins and medals honoring his birth, significant events in his life and his death. Mr. Williams uses an overhead projector to show the actual coins in his collection to the audience. The meeting will be held on February 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cedar Grove Public Library located behind the Municipal Building on Pompton Avenue. A short meeting of the Society will be held before the program.

More About Cedar Grove Public Library
Catherine Wolverton oversees the township's public library, located directly behind township hall and the police department headquarters. The library offers Wi-Fi access and is part of the PALS Plus intra-library lending consortium. The library boasts a circulation of more than 45,000 titles and holds numerous child-friendly events throughout the year, as well as a robust summer reading program.
