The mission of CASA for Children of Essex County (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is to protect the welfare of children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect or abandonment by providing a safety net of support, advocacy and mentorship. CASA trains and supervises volunteers to speak up for the best interests of these children in court, to ensure that each child has the opportunity to thrive by receiving needed services and assistance while helping to move the child towards a safe and permanent home.

On Sunday, March 3, 2013, Essex CASA will be holding our 5th Annual “Spin for a Child” fundraiser in 3Sixty Cycling Studio in Montclair. Three of our staffs will be spinning this year and we are hoping to raise $1,500 for our team, CASA Crusaders. Last year this one event raised over $70,000 needed funds.  Our nonprofit organization, spend $1,200 per child for one year of advocating.  Join us in making the futures brighter for children and teens in foster care.
