Get Up To $150 Back For Your Old Refrigerators And Freezers

In this time of running the air conditioner and working on home renovations, many homeowners are looking for ways to conserve energy, utilities, money and waste.

One way to do all four is leveraging the New Jersey Clean Energy Program. It offers a $50 rebate on old refrigerators and freezers; up to $150 a year. The pick-up is free, the scheduling easy and the money extra.

Don't just pull your old appliance to the curb for pickup: reduce, reuse, recycle. If you are selling or buying your home and about to update your refrigerator and/or freezer (or in negotiation to get rid of them), definitely make sure you take a look at this program. I don't want to leave out renters, either. If you have to provide the refrigerator or freezer where you are renting, this could work for you, too.

It covers customers of Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G), Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), Atlantic City Electric (ACE) and Rockland Electric Company.

For all the program details, click here. You can call 877-270-3520 or go online to arrange for the free pick-up.

By the way, if you're ever curious of how they actually recycle these appliances, click here, then go to the bottom of the page to watch the video.

It pays for you to reduce, reuse and recycle.
