Businesses are beginning to open in both townships as power returns, but many are still in the dark.
Exxon on Bloomfield and Mt. Prospect Avenues was open and serving gas on Thursday Nov. 1.

Power is beginning to be restored in both towns and businesses are finally opening their doors.

Bambina's Cucina on Stevens is open. She only has hot soup, bread, coffee and baked goods. 12-5 and she is also doing a food and clothing drive for the victims of Sandy. Stop down and see Angela, and help out and take some hot soup home!!!!!!

the Exxon Gas Station on the corner of Pompton / Mytle is open w/gas. The line is LONG - it snakes up Myrtle Ave, turns down Fairview Ave passed the old essex county hospital grounds. The line has to be at least a 2 hr wait :(

Is anyone actually giving away food or are people price gouging like Whole Foods? $16 for two packages of sliced pineapple and 2 apple ciders. I had to throw away $300 worth of groceries. If I keep up like this, I won't be able to afford to make it through the weekend.
