West Caldwell Man Ticketed For Providing False Information

Steven James Gesumaria was issued several tickets after Nov. 26 traffic stop.

Verona police ticketed a West Caldwell man after he provided false information following a Nov. 26 traffic stop.

Police said they stopped Steven James Gesumaria just after 10 p.m. and requested his driver’s license or registration for the vehicle.

Gesumaria told police he did not have his driver's license or registration but provided the officer with his name and date of birth, which turned out to be false, police said.

The West Caldwell resident was issued several tickets for motor vehicle violations and a complaint for providing false information to a law enforcement officer, police said.
