Verona PBA Collection to Benefit Hurricane Sandy Victims
Collections to take place on Friday and Saturday.
The Verona Policeman’s Benevolent Association (PBA) Local 72 will be collecting items for Hurricane Sandy victims.
They will be collecting canned foods, personal hygiene products, diapers, pet food, sternos, cleaning supplies and AA and D batteries.
Donated items will be distributed by Goman's Delivery Service.
“Please limit donated items to what has been specifically requested by the victims,” the PBA said in a written statement.
Collections will take place on Friday, Nov. 9 at the Verona Civic Center, 600 Bloomfield Ave. from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Another collection will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Verona High School football game from 11 a.m. Until 2 p.m.
The PBA is thanking residents for any donations in advance.

Also added to list of items, coffee cups, ground coffee, paper plates, work gloves, hot dog & hamburger rolls, duct tape, respirator masks, cleaning supplies, dried pastas, instant potato, prepackaged sliced cheese, bacon, breakfast sausages, eggs, warm gloves, and any other items people would like to donate to make the recovery effort easier.
