Verona Girls Lacrosse Falls to Glen Rock 16-13 in State Tournament

Julieanne Mascera's five goals and goalie Melanie McClellan's 10 saves weren't enough as the Verona Hillbillies girls lacrosse team fell to Glen Rock 16-13 in the Group 1 state tournament Tuesday.
Three Hillbillie players — Lauren Ednie, Shannon Curran and Jackie Brozyna — each scored two goals in the losing effort.
Glen Rock's offense was lead by five-goal scorers Alexandria Beilman and Maggie Egan. Goalie Claire Gallo had 18 saves for Glen Rock.
Glen Rock improved its record to 10-6-0, while Verona fell to 12-7-0 with the loss.
