Verona Artist Note Cards Available for the Holidays

Verona Park Conservancy offering sets of local artist-created scenes of Verona Park.

Need note cards for quick greetings, stocking stuffers, "Thank you" gifts, or a “Thinking-of-you” gift for friends or students away at college? The Verona Park Conservancy is again offering sets of its very popular note cards depicting scenes of Essex County’s Verona Park. The Conservancy has produced the four seasons of Verona Park in a new set of cards reproducing the work of four Verona artists.

The collection includes, “Peak of Spring” by Patricia Buchannan; “Sunflower Bee” by Allen Taylor; “Autumn in the Wetlands” by Ham Carson; and “The Bridge in Winter” by Ann C. Taylor.  The sets of cards include two copies of each painting for a total of eight cards, with envelopes, at $10. They are available at Terry’s Drugs and Main Street Cottage (next to the Verona Diner), both located on Bloomfield Avenue in Verona, or by calling 973-239-6074. Proceeds from the sale of the cards support the work of the Verona Park Conservancy in its park maintenance and beautification projects.

The Verona Park Conservancy is a non-profit organization of volunteers working with Essex County to maintain and improve the condition and facilities of Verona Park, part of the Essex County Park System. The Conservancy invites all interested parties to its regular meetings held at 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday, each month at the Park Boathouse. The next VPC meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 15. For information call 973-271-8619.
