Towns Draw Candidate Names for Ballot Order

Candidate names are pulled at random to determine the order names will appear on the May 14 ballot.

On Monday, township candidates in both Verona and Cedar Grove filed into each town hall to see where their names will appear on the May 14 ballot.

The order is chosen randomly by drawing the names out of a hat, or in this case a small bag.

In Verona, Municipal Clerk Susan Neale and Township Manager Joseph Martin drew the names as follows:

  1. Jay Sniatkowski (Verona first)
  2. Rich Williamson (Verona values)
  3. Kevin Ryan (Fiscal responsibility and open government)
  4. Alex Roman (For efficient, effective and open government)
  5. Bob Manley (Proven trust and leadership)
  6. Al DeOld ('Doc' for the taxpayer)
  7. Teena Schwartz (Integrity, accountability and common sense)

In Cedar Grove, Municipal Clerk Kathleen Stutz and Assistant to the Clerk Martina Meding drew the names out of a box:

  1. Joseph Chiusolo
  2. John Zunic
  3. Stacy Kilkenny
  4. E. Romeo Longo
