This week ahead in Verona and Cedar Grove both towns are busy with meetings in the beginning the week.

Starting off the week the Cedar Grove Township Council meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in council chambers. See attached PDF for agenda. 

The Verona Township Council Meeting is also scheduled to meet at 7 p.m tonight, in the Verona Civic Center, 600 Bloomfield Ave. Check out the attached PDF for the agenda.

Verona’s Board of Education meeting is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the library at Verona High School, 151 Fairview Ave.

Also, Cedar Grove’s Board of Education is meeting at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting is slated for the media room at North End School, 122 Stevens Ave.

On Thursday, the Verona Planning Board will hold its regularly scheduled planning board meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Ave. An attached PDF contains the agenda.

The Verona Junior’s Annual Senior Dinner

The Verona Juniors will hold their annual Senior Dinner at the Verona Community Center on May 21 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event is open to all Verona Senior residents and is free of charge.  The dinner will consist of a hot buffet, hot and cold beverages, and dessert.  Space is limited. Time For Tots

Time for Tots is an informal group of Moms and Dads who get together while our children play. Time for Tots allows your children to get out of the house and play with other children, while giving you some much needed "adult time."  No sign-up or $ involved.

EMS Week Blood Drive

Cedar Grove Historical Society Meeting

Phil and Jean Jaeger, members of the Society, will presenta slide program entitled "Dining with History."  The program focuses on restaurants, mostly in New Jersey but several in neighboring states, that began life as long ago as the 1700s. 

Neighbors Helping Neighbors Meeting

Have fun and help a great cause!    Progeria is a rare condition thats symptoms strongly resemble normal human aging, but occur in young children.    Verona's own, Zoey Penny, is currently 2 1/2 years old but will face a life challenged by age related problems.  So, get you groove on at the Children's Institute and help kids like Zoey!
