WHAT: Verona LIVE: Card and Games Club

WHAT: “You Can’t Take It With You”
WHERE: Studio Players, 14 Alvin Place, Upper Montclair
WHEN: Friday & Saturday 8 p.m.-Sunday 3 p.m.
WHY GO: This classic, Pulitzer Prize winning,
heart-warming comedy gives you a glimpse into the life of the eccentric
Sycamore family where things like daily preparation of homemade chocolates in a ballet tutu and firework explosions in the basement are the norm.

WHAT: CROP WITH THE CREW
WHERE: North Caldwell Fire Department, 151 Gould Ave., North Caldwell
WHEN: Saturday 9 a.m.
WHY GO: A 12-hour scrapbooking event to raise funds for Venture Crew 59. The $45.00 entrance fee includes light breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, dessert, goody bags, and Crew members to carry your scrapbooking supplies in and out of the crop area. Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women aged 14 to 21.

WHAT: BIRDS OF PREY VISIT VAN VLECK GARDENS
WHERE: Van Vleck, 21 Van Vleck Drive, Montclair
WHEN: Saturday 1-2 p.m.
WHY GO: Meet a barred owl and a red-tailed hawk at Van Vleck. A staff member from Tenafly Nature Center will present a family-friendly program
to demonstrate how these amazing feathered friends are equipped to survive. Participants will also learn what’s fact and what’s fiction about the raptors living in our suburban backyards.
WHAT: Hilltop Reservation Guided Hike
WHERE: Verona Community Center Annex, 880 Bloomfield Ave., Verona
WHEN: Saturday 9 a.m.
WHY GO: Satisfy your curiosity about the Hilltop Reservation and learn about its past, present and future by hiking with local naturalists. You’ll see Prisoner’s Pond, historic White Rock, wetlands, the meadow and old growth forests. You’ll also learn about all the wildlife in the Hilltop. Hike is approximately two miles and will be postponed if it rains.
WHAT: MCPK Men Are Cooking
WHERE: Montclair Public Library, Fullerton Avenue, Montclair
WHEN: Saturday 6:30 a.m.–10 p.m.
WHY GO: Montclair Community Pre-K (MCPK) will host its annual fundraiser "Men Are Cooking", a fun adult evening filled with delicious food, wonderful music, wine and great company. The men of the MCPK
including dads, grandpas and staff, serve as the chefs for the evening, serving up their specialties for all to savor.
WHAT: Chess at the Library
WHERE: The Café at the Montclair Public Library
WHEN: Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.
WHY GO: All ages and skill levels are welcome to play chess on Saturday afternoons. This is a drop-in group, no registration is required.
WHAT: Kids Night Out @ Temple Sholom of West Essex

WHY GO: The Youth Group of Temple Sholom of West Essex will be holding a Kids Night Out! is debuting Snow White. This two-act show is a classical ballet that will
