The fall event, held at the Essex County Fleet Maintenance Facility on Bradford Avenue in Cedar Grove, was an opportunity for Essex County residents to dispose of regular household items such as fluorescent light bulbs, motor oil, cleaners and other items that contain hazardous material in an environmentally friendly way.

The collection day was organized by the Essex County Utilities Authority, which contracted with MXI Environmental Inc. to dispose of the products.
