Our Lady of the Lake Celebrates Oktoberfest
Verona parish hosts Saturday event featuring foods, craft beers and live entertainment.
There was a festive atmosphere Saturday on the grounds of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona this weekend as the parish celebrated a pair of seasonal festivals.
On Friday night, Kinderfest featured rides, carnival games a dunk tank, live music and entertainment for the entire family.
Saturday night, the third annual Oktoberfest took place.
The celebration featured traditional German foods — including various wursts, pulled pork, roast turkey, potato salad, German chocolate cake, craft beers, wine, and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks. Live music, entertainment, raffles and a Tricky Tray.
Paul Pak, head of the Oktoberfest organizing committee called the Oktoberfest, “a great event to bring everyone together to enjoy music and something that is very unique to the community where we get to celebrate fall, each other and the community.”

Both Kinder-and Oktoberfest - from both a performer and attendee's perspective were lots of fun ... and super-supportive of Our Lady of The Lake!
