Craving farm-fresh produce, or looking to get a head start on carving that Halloween pumpkin? Well you're in luck. Not only has the Cedar Grove Farmer's Market returned for one last week, but the Cedar Grove Historical Society's annual pumpkin and apple sale is currently underway. Both events are being held at Morgan's Farm on Pompton Avenue in Cedar Grove.
The pumpkin and apple sale will last through Oct. 16 and is held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
All size pumpkins will be available. This year about fifty of the smaller pumpkins were actually grown right on Morgan's Farm. Also available will be many varieties of apples, corn stalks, bales of hay, Cedar Grove themed birdhouses, firewood, and "Cedar Grove" a book written by Historical Society Trustee, Phil Jaeger. Photo ops with our Halloween figures will also be available.
Also, back by popular demand, on Wednesday, Oct. 12, the Cedar Grove Farmer's Market will once again be open from 12-5 p.m., also at Morgan's Farm.
