Jackals Season Ends With 10-3 Loss

Quebec City Capitales take Can-Am Championship series 4-1 for fourth-straight title.

The season is over for the New Jersey Jackals following Monday night’s 10-3 Game 5 loss to the Quebec City Capitales in the Can-Am League Championship series.

The Jackals, who came into the game trailing the series 3-1, trailed 2-0 going into the eighth inning last night, but rallied for three runs, starting with a two-out rally lead by Carlos Guzman.

Catcher Chris Henderson doubled in the go-ahead run for the Jackals.

But the lead wouldn’t hold as lefthander Isaac Pavlik gave up a two-run home run to Quebec’s Jonathan Malo and Quebec never looked back, tacking on six additional runs.

Quebec took the best-of-seven series 4-1.

The Jackals have now lost two straight championship series to their North-of-the-Border rivals.

The Capitales won their fourth straight league title and their fifth title in franchise history.
