With decisive victories in Wisconsin, Maryland and Washington D.C., former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney appears to have the GOP nomination just about sown up.
Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum is trailing in delegates and Romney has taken advantage of his surge forward to begin campaigning earnestly in Pennsylvania.
But analysts say that the slight decrease in unemployment and economic uptick will help keep President Barack Obama's approval rating high enough to get him re-elected.
The outcome of the election is up for grabs, but what do you think of our 44th president's chances of getting elected to a second term?

Why do they say it's hard to vote for a different person than a persons who already in office, I say they are wrong President Obama is a better leader then anyone at this time.

not only that, it's a poorly constructed poll. There is one non-Obama choice, two non-Romney choices, and one neutral choice (non-Obama and non-Romney).
I'm not a big fan of Romney, and think it's unlikely he will win. But he'd be better than Obama who is bankrupting the treasury, weakening our military, backing away from Israel, and just this week subverting the Supreme court.
He's a disaster.

The SCOTUS lost all credibility during the 2000 election debacle. Then they did Citizens United. I don't think they can actually be "subverted" at this point.

Of course, we all know the root cause of the right-wing condemnation of President Obama even in light of his myriad accomplishments to date during his 1st term and despite a Congress whose republican membership is determined to destroy him no matter what the consequences, which also is the primary motivating factor for entities like the Tea Party. As Bill Maher explained - "Do you know the 2 things Tea Party members hate most? #1 - being called racists and #2 - black people!"

Hi Belleville Sentinel -- I just love Bill Maher too. My favorite quote of his is: “I thought when we elected a black president, we were going to get a black president. You know, this [BP oil spill] is where I want a real black president. I want him in a meeting with the BP CEOs, you know, where he lifts up his shirt so you can see the gun in his pants. That’s — (in black man voice) ‘we’ve got a motherfu**ing problem here?’ Shoot somebody in the foot."
I guess he does have a tendency to stereotype about blacks (and Tea Party members) just a bit. That's what makes him funny. Right?

For shame smearing Obama criticism as racist.
Obama's absolute lack of leadership was clearly evident during the Gulf Oil Spill disaster, and people have not forgotten. That event was a national disaster, the worst environmental disaster in US history. The tone deaf nature of Obama's behavior (numerous golf outings, lavish white house parties) and his comments (it's BP's problem, it's BP's oil spill) while millions of gallons of oil flowed into OUR gulf and onto OUR shores for weeks was truly hard to believe.

The oil spill began April 20, 2010 and Obama's first public comment on the matter was April 29th! Once that accident happened, and the oil started to flow, it became a problem for the United States, and was not a time for hiding out or finger pointing -- it was time to step up lead, and Obama could not.

Yes, the Tea Party just loves People of Color! You'll find more African-Americans and Latinos at an Osmond Family Reunion than you will at any Tea Party rally.
Reminds me of when Trump stated during his Obama Birther debacle how he was a "friend of the Blacks." As Seth Meyers pointed out during a following SNL Weekend Update, "Unless Trump knows a white family named "The Blacks", I don't think so!"

Mitt - If we as voters give him a Republican Senate we have a chance to start controlling our debt and keeping goverment to a reasonable size. The issue this election cycle is about the size and scope of the Federal Government.

No - the issue is on who's behalf is our government operating. It certainly isn't "We, the people" at this point. Congress has a lower approval rating than a serial murderer and richly deserves it.

There is no option that indicates support for Obama.

Hi little e -- These day, lots of people like Belleville Sentinel take the comments of comedians such as Bill Maher, Jimmy Kimmel, Barak Obama, David Letterman, Nancy Pelosi, Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert as political gospel. It's all part of the cult of celebrity worship that has infected our society these days. Maybe it's time to bring back Rodney Dangerfield and Abbot & Costello for some real leadership we can believe in?

Political satirists from Mark Twain to Jon Stewart have a remarkable way of cutting through all the obfuscating rhetoric and getting to the truth of every matter - something that certainly doesn't go unnoticed by those in power who regularly appear on the shows of Stewart, Colbert, Maher, and Lettermann.

Hi Belleville Sentinel -- Given that Mark Twain had noted nearly 140 years ago that "...one of the first achievements of the government was to institute a ten-thousand-dollar agricultural fair to show off forty dollars' worth of pumpkins in," Twain may have been more a seer than a humorist. He was able to describe the foibles of the current administration so clearly.
