The HBO film, Mann Vs. Ford, will be shown as part of a film night presentation tonight at 6 p.m., in the Cedar Grove Public Library, 1 Municipal Plaza.
The Cedar Grove Environmental Commission will host the host the showing of the 105-minute-long documentary.
The film, which takes place in the Northern New Jersey mountains from 1967 to 1971, is the story how Ford Motor Company polluted and poisoned a community populated by mostly Native American Ramapough Indians.
A plant in Mahwah was dumping industrial toxic chemicals and paint sludge into people’s backyards causing sickness throughout the community.
At the time, it was claimed to be legal by lawyers and Ford even admitted to dumping in Upper Ringwood.
The Executive Director of Edison Wetlands Association Bob Spiegel may attend the event.
