1) Tonight from 6-9 p.m., the North Essex Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Taste of Essex dinner, featuring food, drink and prizes. The dinner will be held at 481 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange. Tickets are $50 per person.

2) The Cedar Grove Panthers Girls Varsity Softball Team will face Morris Knolls High School tonight at 4 p.m. at Cedar Grove High School, 90 Rugby Road.

4) The First Presbyterian Church in Verona, 10 Fairview Ave., hosts "Rainbows", a national organization that assists grieving families tonight at 6:30 p.m. Event is fre and open to all.

5) Join the conversazione and enjoy some caffe tonight as you brush up on your Italian at the Cedar Grove Library. The conversational group is for people with knowledge of the Italian language and a passion for speaking it. These sessions are free to the public.
