Eutopia Beauty Studio in Verona will be holding a Cut-a-thon on Wednesday Oct. 10 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Eutopia, located at 474 Bloomfield Ave. in Verona will offer $10 haircuts with all proceeds going to Look Good...Feel Better, a non-profit organization who helps to boost the self esteem of cancer patients undergoing treatment.

“It is our aim to improve their self-image and appearance through complimentary group, individual and self-help beauty sessions that create a sense of support, confidence, courage and community,” the organization says on their website.

The cut-a-thon will run from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Eutopia Beauty Studio Manager Annie Grasso and her employees are donating their time for the cause. Every dollar they raise will go directly to Look Good...Feel Better, said Grasso, who lost both of her grandparents to cancer.

“One of the hardest things for my grandmother was when she couldn't go for a pedicure anymore and lost all of her hair,” she said. “Out of all the things to worry about when you have cancer, feeling good about yourself shouldn’t have to be one of them.”

Eutopia will also be selling $10 hair extensions for the month of October, with $8 of every purchase going directly to the non-profit organization.

“This is helping them live with what they have and that is equally as important as stopping this diesease,” said Grasso.
