Cedar Grove Memorial Middle School will hold a Spring Clothing Drive today and tomorrow at the school, located 500 Ridge Road.
The MMS Family School Association will be collecting gently used or new clothing, hats, belts, handbags, bed linens, towels and stuffed animals. Shoes will also be collected, although the shoes should be bagged separately.
Drop off all bags at the front of the school in the student drop-off area between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday and between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday.
For seniors citizens or other residents who do not have the physical ability to bring the bags to the school, pick up service is available by calling Pat Mullen at (973) 571-0056.
The school’s Family School Association will be paid per pound for the donated items and the items are then distributed to needy families in countries around the world.
Any funds raised will be used to benefit the Family School association, which sponsors assemblies and parental workshops, as well as purchases computers/software, multi-media equipment and other educational materials to enhance the student experience.
For further information about the clothing drive, call Brigid Bauer at (973) 857-8240.
