MSG Varsity’s Talent Show, hosted by former “American Idol” semifinalist Jared Cotter, debuted on April 17 with 32 talented singers, dancers and musical groups from high schools across the tri-state area competing in four categories — male vocalists, female vocalists, vocal ensemble and dance ensemble. Over the first five weeks of the series, two contestants in each of the four categories performed in hopes of ultimately advancing to the Final round, with the winner determined by online voting by the viewing audience at www.msgvarsitytalentshow.com.

In addition to being crowned “Talent Show Champion,” each winner will receive a once-in-a-lifetime, professional studio session  to work with award-winning producers to record a demo CD or video and create custom-designed cover art. The Champions will also be treated to a professional photo shoot that includes hair and make-up styling.
