Student Arrested for Possession of Knife

The following information has been provided by the Cedar Grove Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 


April 16:
 Cedar Grove police are investigating a damaged park bench in Community Park on Little Falls Road. The bench, near the lower playground, had blue paint poured on it police said. The repair costs and person responsible are unknown.

April 17: A 46-year-old Kearny man was arrested for driving while intoxicated near Leonard R. Parks School, 520 Pompton Ave. at 6:46 p.m.

Robert J. Chesney was arrested and processed before being released pending a municipal court appearance.

April 18: An 18-year-old Cedar Grove High School student was arrested at 11:57 a.m. for possession of a razor knife on school property.

Keara A. Schlosser was processed and released pending a superior court arraignment in Newark.

April 19: A 54-year-old Hopatcong man was arrested for driving with a suspended license at 2:44 p.m.

Richard C. Chambers was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.

April 19: A 21-year-old Sicklerville woman was cited for driving with a suspended registration and suspended license at 9:06 p.m.

Tynesha A. Sharpe was released pending a municipal court appearance. Her 2001 Dodge Neon was impounded.

April 20: A 24-year-old Ringwood woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license at 11:39 p.m.

Victoria Balik was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.

April 21: Two Orange residents, driving separate vehicles, were arrested for driving under the influence after both vehicles were pulled over for driving erratically at 4:27 a.m.

One vehicle was crossing over the centerline to pass the other vehicle, which was swerving over the centerline as well to prevent it. Police said both cars were traveling together.

Jasmine A. Villatoro, 20, and Ramon E. Johnson-Reyes, 21, were processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.
